@renatosamba Try some WD-40. It should come off fairly easily. Just don't over-tighten when you put it back on. I know this is 3 years ago, but ....

I bought mine new in 1985 or 1986 - still going strong and discovered today that I can use it as a steadycam with a lightweight modern video camera. The only thing I've had to replace (bought 2 just in case) is the little thing that you screw into the bottom of your camera that attaches to the platform. If you lose that, you cannot use the tripod!!!! The weight is about 6 lbs.

I've owned this tripod for several years, but you've shown me a few things I never realized I could do with it. Great video, xiongba!

Excellent review. Buying it based on the music alone. :) Actually, when I saw you attach it to the leg, I was sold. Thanks.

@renatosamba same problem

Great Video, I wondered what the clips on the legs were for. Sweet. Bought one used for a whopping $25! what a steal works great but I do need to adjust the quick release for the leg it's slipping just a touch.

HI !,
I just got one for me ! Thanks for your advice.
It was a bargain. Anything would be better than my targus anyways... But seriously, i'm happy.
Now, i have a question: I can't unscrew the head to use it in the leg slot...
It doesn't seem to be possible. Do I have to force it ???? I'm afraid I'll bread it...
anyhow... thanks !
ok, thanks!

I myself am planning to change the head to maybe a Markins once i can afford 500mm lens. I do believe the legs will be able to support it.

yes, how heavy ? now you scared me.
I have a d300 and use sometimes the 80-200 mm...
does it handle such a weight ? I mean, is it strong enough for this ? that articulation on the bullhead that turn landscaping to portraiting position can handle such a weight ? thanks man.,
regards

the legs have no problems with the weight but for the pan/tilt head may need something more substantial if you are planning a 300mm F/2.8 or an 80-200mm f/2.8.

Hi !
thank you for your video...
i helped me to decide to buy this tripod.
I need one that can be adapted to many terrains and shoting requirenments, and this one definitelly will help.
It was fun to hear the 'suspence' music.

just a warning..this tripod is made in the old days where heavy==endurance. I got it not because i wanted it but because it was the best value even in this point in time with the tradeoff that eventually will grow popeye hands in time carrying it around.
I do believe a direct hit with it could break a carbon fiber tripod so should have no worries leaving it to the baggage handlers in your luggage for your flight.
