well with the Sony vaio you get a bigger monitor because the HP only comes with a 23inch and the Sony has 24inch standard and the sony has a faster processor which means smoother touch interface and the Vaio has the option to come with 1TB of storage and the HP has a option for a capacity of 500GB and the Sony has an overall more sleek design and looks like it could blind into any environment But really you should watch reviews and check the specs on both sites but for me the Vaio L Series wins
