  • French Frigate Shoals was largely responsible for my 23 year Coast Guard career. Used to talk to the guys stationed at the Loran Station there via ham radio. One visited me after being evacuated following a storm.

  • wow that was amazing. i recently visited the coast guard station in elizabeth city and got to go in the c 130. it was amazing. we learned about how the c130 is used to spot icebergs so they can make a good pass for boats travaling up there. the cockpit is very advanced and the ones at elizabeth city are the newest models and no other base will get them for a while. anyway nice vid, looks very risky but im glad everything went smothly.
