@AdrenalineEquestrian Also, can you leave forlock braids in overnight?
-
Do you have a facebook group?
-
I would love for someone to EXPLAIN the process...

Wow you are amazing! And FAST!

@eqgrl2011 The yarn color should match the horse as best as possible. I think they're using purple in the video so that you can see where the yarn goes :D

Im so confused on how you put the string in at the end. I was tought to braid it in then pull it tight. Could you explain that to me please?
i generally have it just a half inch or a little more of "feathered" mane past the width of my hand. this makes for lots of little braids like you see on this horse's neck. i prefer to put up a "wall of braids" on the neck, but not everyone can tie in all the hair i do without tying off the tail exactly like i do and folding the hair back and under. there's lots of parts to the job and all of them have to be done together to achieve the results i get.

yes, exactly. first you start right over center. roll each piece under with your thumb and forefinger, then press down with the pointer on the top of the braid once it's turned under. that helps it lay flat

Are you sort of French braiding the forlock bringing in pieces of hair all the way down and do you ever do that for the entire mane?
seaglassfull 1 year ago
@seaglassfull yes, i am adding pieces in as i go.....and no i don't do that for the rest of the mane, although some people do in the western world

When pulling on the mane like that does it hurt the horsE? i have asked this question a couple of times and some people say yes and others say no, so im rather confused if it does or not.

@PrometheusFlyingSolo not if you do it right and thin the area you're pulling out down with a (bottom) clipper blade or use a "ferminator" on the ;mane
