I Wish I Could Go Back To College - Joanna Ampil and Dwayne Tan

Joanna and I recorded this while she was in Singapore playing the Blue Fairy in a run of Pinocchio, the musical. Thank you Jo!

At first, I wasn't sure what I would do for the video. Then I remembered I had two puppets lying around. This is apt in many ways because both Avenue Q (which the song is from) and Pinocchio have puppets in them. Joanna also played Christmas Eve in the West End run of Avenue Q.

The mouth sync isn't the best because the grip inside the mouths were not great. I also was hiding at an odd angle from the camera. I controlled both puppets and filmed it twice because it was quite impossible to control both at the same time. Phew! You'll not notice the split screen the next time when I improve on my editing! It was my first time on Final Cut Pro. Meanwhile, enjoy this fun video!

joanna ampil! i remember hearing some recordings of her as kim a couple years ago.. i just checked out more of her recent stuff and am still BLOWN AWAY. so jealous of you for having this opportunity to sing with her dwayne! your voice also sounds good as usual :)

i'll be in singapore next month! are you going to be performing anywhere?

This was amazing, Dwayne! Joanna Ampil has such a lovely voice. It's great to hear both your voices again after Pinocchio. Nevermind the video, I liked the puppets and loved the singing. I'm not sure if it was meant to be cute, but I thought it was :)
