This is DOS environment NHL being performed by me and the computer. The captions are saved replays in a season where I control all the teams and always play upwards(switching in between periods). The sound is turned off.

#1 is Ottawa Senator's goalie Peter Sidorkiewicz performing a nice double save as Mike Gartner and Darren Turcotte are offered a chance when the opposition performs a somewhat ill timed line change.

#2 is the computer assaulting as Montreal Canadiens with Stéphan Lebeau, managing a remarkable passing shot.

#3 is a peculiar situation in a later stage of the N.Y. Rangers vs Ottawa Senator's game. Mike Gartner has a couple of hearty drives, but the goalie still persists! up until...?

#4 Winnipeg Jets vs Buffalo Sabres - I control the Jets' Keith Tkachuk and manage to overwhelm Grant Fuhr, who is maybe the strongest goalie in the game.

#5 New Jersey Devils vs Vancouver Canucks. Here Greg Adams, being player controlled, scores a fantastic breakaway past Chris Terreri.

  • Is there some way to play this game on current computers? Any idea where I can find the game?

  • @chaosgreyblood Abandonia are hosting the file... You can search their website for "NHL". I suggest going with DOSbox to emulate DOS environment. The common abandonware definition is that they aren't being sold and fronted to the demand group, thus sites gather the mostly games and offer them up.

  • @Igamelec The other games are in there too? Hopefully they'll be compatible with a PS2 controller on an USB converter.

  • @chaosgreyblood I'm not sure what you are refering to with "the other games"... This is *the* NHL game.

I haven't tried using a PS2 controller, but it varies between games. Should work fine though, since the controller support for NHL is well worked through. If it would not work even after trying different dosbox.cfg alternatives there's always the software called XPadder that maps your gamepad/stick to keystrokes.

  • @Igamelec

I meant the other NHL games that were released for the PC.
