A picture montage from the Tea Party 2009 event in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. About 1,750 folks showed up. 4 of which, I counted, were of "color".
My vote was split between the sign that read "Watch Fox News" or "were not slaves". The former I couldn't determine if it was a joke (probably not with this crowd) and the later, well, I asked the owner if I could buy an apostrophe.
For the most part, loud but behaved.

Actually, the Fort Lauderdale Police Department told us that their estimate of attendance was 5,000.

Wrong....I know as a liberal you can't stand it but the fact is the FBI guy we talked to down there said 4000+ and the Head cop called it at 5000. Say what you want though, liberals always prefer their own set of facts.

Did you dig it because you agreed with it or because the guy who brought it with him is obviously a GOP sheep who can't think for himself? No one who says "watch Fox News" has a clue about what's really going on. I'm not saying MSNBC or CNN are better, by the way. They all suck on one level or another but Fox is the worst.

Personally, as I have mentioned before, I dug the sign that read "Watch Fox News". That is funny shyte.

I've gotten a few blistering emails, from the right wing we hate the fact that a black feller is President crowd, indicating to me that 10,000 folks were on hand at the Fort Lauderdale Tea Bag '09 event.
Riddle me this.
How can you fit 1/7 of folks attending a sold out Fish home game into that teensy weensy little area. One city block. I was there, and while the NW corner of Broward and 3rd was packed solid with say 100 people, it wasn't the case throughout the entire venue.
