Aside from the technical brilliance, what a marvelous and congenial artist Kogan was!!!! (I had never heard this recording before. Thanks.)

I feel so lucky have seen live Leonid Kogan in my city, Thessaloniki Greece just some months before his death performing Beethoven's violin concerto! I was 7 years old, and still remembering, amazing experience. 15 years later i saw at the same place (Forest theater of Thessaloniki) live the other big legend of Soviet music, the one and the only ROSTRO!!! performing Dvorak Concerto, unforgettable experiences!
