Wow that's really funny because I cut my dreads of 3 years on June 6, 2011. I know a couple of other dread head buddies who cut theirs as well around the same time.
My hair was pretty much the same length as yours. I started my journey over again though...Not them this time

Awww Man!! Why did you cut them off? Those were some of the most perfect dreads that I have ever seen. I want my locs to look exactly like that. What you use to lock them? wax? gel? locking soap/shampoo? I've been using Knotty Boy Dread Wax & seeing a professional loctian since March, but not liking the results so far & its hurting my wallet. Any advice to get great looking locs on the cheap?

@HappyRoach911 I cut 'em because I felt it was time for a change. I might grow them back eventually tho. I only twisted them once starting with gel and I've been doing the free form method ever since. If you don't like the way you're loctician is doing your dreads, stop giving them your hard earned cash, simple as that. No use paying someone to do something you can do better and for free. Might i suggest interlocking? It worked well for me and there's plenty of tutorials on youtube!
