@deepdriedspam It may help you to know that despite everyone saying it's not a replacement, the fit is similar to the Quantum 2 and the RX-Q is even a tiny bit better on my head. I can also attest to it being just a smidgen better than Corsair V as well. For reference, I've used to own a Shoei RF-1000 that fit great, but the RF-1100 doesn't feel very comfortable, and in general their new Shoeis just don't feel great to me. Everyone is different, but thought I'd offer up an opinion

@o0jun0o I wouldn't know exactly about the Q, as I don't own one, but I dont know of any Arai that does that. Or any other helmet for that matter. Did you have a helmet that let water pass through the visor?????

@o0jun0o I was being sarcastic. How do you mean "waterproof"??? Not helmet is waterproof.
If you leave airvents open in the rain, some water might get in. Same goes for all helmets more or less...

dammit! I love my Quantum 2. Thanks for stressing that the RX-Q is not the son of Quantum. I have the SHOEI RF1100 and the Quantum 2 is 100 times better than the Shoei. What Arai helmet is as comfortable and as light as my Quantum 2 without me having to take out a loan. LOL! Thanks. Great review on this RX-Q!

Love the RX-Q I try on firs time at the bike show and I lovethat it s so confort I want the one with the italian flag!

Seems this helmet and the RF1100 Shoei are close, I know its hard to bad mouth either one but I would like to see a comparo on those 2.....as well as Corsair and X12

@bradman158 I will be doing a few of them this season. We have done this once lst year with the Shoei X-11, Shark RSR2 and the Bell Star.
