  • Did you make the arrangement or is this the Rob Mackillop transcription? I picked up the Theorbo a few months back and thought the cello suites might be fun to work on. Thanks for posting, it sounds like it will arrange with few if any alterations. Sweet touch.

  • what a perfect instrument for playing continuo. Indeed what would our Baroque sound like if the The great arch Lute was never invented. We would be hearing a lot of boring harpsichord I fear.

  • @IzzyCello999 And would you have said thus were you not a 'cellist and the prelude had been written for the theorbo? Yet, I'm still inclined to agree and I play neither. I will say that I find the theorbo more suitable than the guitar . . . what bass!
