  • useless

what is the point of this video?

  • I bet you were watching in hopes to learn how to install springs..Haha Frustrated are we? :)

  • video looks fantastic, as well as the workshop. How low are those springs. I have 330ci m sport, i was thinking getting ebach 1" low....

  • I think they drop it 1.6" in the front and 1.0" in the rear. Keep in mind,if you have the 330ci ZHP package yours is already slightly lower than mine was to start out. Thanks!

  • did u just change the spring and leave other parts stock?

will it damage the whole suspension?

  • Yup,for the time being. The oem struts might wear a little premature but they will be fine..

  • you change only the springs?!

  • man that mechanic looks money smooth. nice work

  • Thats how it should be done, Good job.

  • @xjmoe83 Very nice ride. I have a ZHP and thinking to low it down a little more :)

  • highly recommend H&R spring street version for regular 330i and the race version with Msport suspension for ZHP. The ZHP is already 0.6 inches lower than the stock sport suspension.

  • Funny the bimmer didn't feel intimidated by the benz's in that dealership

  • where can i get that sping compressor?

  • @xjmoe83 Sir, I like the way you troll. haha

  • cool video i have the same car and color of car! i want to drop mine real soon i just put the m front bumper on it and it sits to high what brand spings were those?

  • great video!

  • Was this a sport package to begin with?

  • @demossav

    thank you,

    i see now(:

  • @saharahottie Not softer. Harder and shorter. Or sometimes only just shorter :P

It is better to change shocks and springs because of the springs being harder there is a lot more force going to the shocks and so they wear prematurely. It's better but not necessary

  • @smilie120 oh yeah. happened before

  • Might be a very dumb question, but is it normal that regular youths do this wihtout taking the cvar to a workshop? or is it impossible without the right tools?

  • i`ve done that too, just with a different brand. Actually nice to see the whole work again from the comfort of my chair :D

  • Awesome install. Nice facility. Where is it? That laser-alignment system is nice. Can I use it?

  • @smilie120 it is under a high amount of tension even when removed from the vehicle, if you really want to cheap out and not buy a spring compressor just put a pillow over it while you lossen the top bolt and wear glasses

  • My friend said if you don't have a coil retentioner or whatever the springs could fly off and kill someone, any truth to this? Could they kill you? Lol...

  • Very cool video.

  • @CurtShaw22

but then you run the risk of bending your frame.. you noob.

    haha just playing(:

so the springs are the same length, just softer? or what.

and also, the springs are the original ones?

is it better to change the shocks AND the spring, or is it not necessary.?

    can somebody please tell me?

  • @yk10yk

to educate the minds of 15 year olds like myself.

  • Very interesting video!

  • I have an E46 330i and the only performance item I have is the Signature Motoring performance CAI for about $160. The performance kit adds around 13.5HP on the dyno, sounds freaking great, and installs in under 30 minutes. Highly recommended.

    -13.5 HP increase

    -Lifetime filter

    -SOUND AWESOME

    -30 min. install time

Aside from the power gain, the SOUND is amazing at higher RPM but sounds normal in regular driving. I’m thinking about added high-flow exhaust next.
