This video is dedicated to Chris Drury, of the New York Rangers, a club in the National Hockey League. You will have to excuse the New Yorker penchant twoards using the superlative, but t is the title of the song.

The song is the theme song from an American tv show "The Greatest American Hero" about a liberal high school teacher who is given a suit by aliens which endows him with superpowers. he teams with a rigth-wing FBI agent to battle injustice. The show aired in the early eighties and was nominated for some emmy's I however, never saw it. But Jerry Seinfeld did use the theme song in an episode having a character record a phone message, I believe...

Chris's first bit of fame was with the 1989 Trumbull Little League World Champions, he was a itcher among other positions on that baseball team.

As for hockey Drury played for Boston University, racking up 68 points in the 95-96 season.

He has represented the United States in competition seven times. In 95-96 during the World Junior Championship he played in six games getting four points.

He has played in the Olympics for USA twice for a total of six games and three points.

His professional career started when he played for the Colorado Avalanche from 98-03.

From there he spent a season with the Flames, and then to the Buffalo Sabres for three more seasons. His late goal, with seven seconds left, will forever be ethced in the minds of Ranger's fans, effectively ending the dream for the Cup in the 06-07 season.

In the summer of 2007 Drury signed with the NY Rangers.

While in part his scoring was sought after the real reason Drury was signed was so that he couldn't live up to his name again for the opposition. Aptly nicknamed Captain Clutch Drury has a way of coming through when the game is needed, whether it is a late goal or an important face off win Drury is the man to step up in the big moment.

  • Pens fan here but my respect for Drury has grown a lot these Olympics. I actually remember watching him win the Little League World Series on TV back in the late 80s.

  • @camouellette

with Buffalo he had much better numbers and made 3.5 million, with the Rangers he's made 7 million and hasn't been half of what he was...
