i do that too, my method is slightly different, i either:
-acknowledge something not going so well and focus wheeling it(i most often got in the vortex this way, i admit :))
-feel good and choose thoughts that feel better
-feel good and try to sense the vibration of pure love of the the ascended masters(it is said that all calls in their way are always answered), my fav is master maitreya, but also st germain:))))
