Before this battle, I opened up all the sealed chests and doors, so I have some pretty neat equipment now. That resulted in me getting a Wallet, which turns EXP into money, so now I can fight as many battles as I want, as long as one character in the battle is equipped with it. The first thing I did was learning Charm.

As for this battle, it's not very hard. To be honest, the difficulty has been rather disappointing since Magus. The challenge was much harder in the beginning. Anyway, it's a good idea to take out the red one first, since the blue one starts countering when he's got less than 50% HP left.

From now on, I probably won't use Crono very often. Using him will only result in much longer, more luck reliant and not necessarily harder battles. Also, now that I have the Wallet, there's no need to redo battles any more, so now I'm recording the battles I fight in order to progress.

  • how much would be possible if you added no items to it? It is unfortunate that most fights got reduced to tonic, attack, tonic, attack.

  • Not possible at these levels, that for sure. Maybe I'll do a no items challenge later.

  • I know. I'm pretty excited for Lavos, and I know there will be better battles, but the majority haven't been that great. I've been excited about Lavos from the start, and I really can't wait.

  • Now see, that's what this challenge was missing: some Charm action, heh. That has always been my favorite part of Chrono Trigger battles, stealing enemies blind of their awesome items. Go Ayla!

  • You're talking like it's already over. There's still plenty of battles left before anything can be declared either way about this challenge. Give it more time. You can't tell me you aren't the least bit interested in seeing how Garland handles Lavos...among others. I especially want to see if he tackles the Black Omen; now there's a pretty brutal, unforgiving place.

  • I know there are going to be some awesome battles coming up, but the last few weren't that great. The first bunch were awesome and then a lot have just been solo battles.

I mean, it was an awesome try and all, but it's just not as fun as I thought it would be to watch. Not saying it wasn't creative or something I could easily do, I just thought it would be cooler.

  • Sad face. Glad you got the Wallet, but difficulty-wise it has changed. It's still a dual challenge, though. =] Keep it up!

  • xD Yay! Wallet get!

  • @trazac

    your not a believer then

  • The game game begins to be interesting.
