I was thinking hard if I wanted to add to the joke by putting myself in the position of the idiot proving the point but then I realized that this would inevitably lead to people explaining the joke to me because that's what smart people tend to do: they want others to understand. And on YouTube, many people are simply dumb. That would then piss me off, so I added quotes and a huge disclaimer stating that I, in fact, know binaries and humour. Cough.

We engineers spend our time thinking about machines and systems, and it can be hard for us to break out of that and think about people. This can be a social handicap if we don't make a conscious effort, and can sometimes be a professional handicap if we fail to consider the people who interact with our machines and systems.

Are you doing your biochem at a uni where there are also engineering students? Meet up with them, and make up your own mind. Some of us are quite ok really! :-)
