WHat sort of muffler are you using? I have been informed that a genuine VW 36hp muffler with the correct internal pipes is best but perhaps now unavailable. I can see that you do not have a gen muffler (no VW symbol emossed on ends of muffler) fitted so is it just an after market item?

The Judson made 51 hp, the WW Okrassa made 53. I just decked the heads, fully ported and polished, heavier valve springs, should run even harder now. Went from 7 to 1 compression to 8.6 to 1
