    The wire might be a masterpiece but I realised recently that it doesn't really paint women in a good light. Most are either illogical, greedy, abrasive or flat out prostitutes. Even the ones that are cops are either less talented cops than the men, like Kima compared to Bunk/McNulty. There aren't that many strong female characters besides the lawyer gal and Omar's crewmembers.
