I'm a big supporter of Ron Paul and I would pick him over Peden every day of week, and twice on Tuesdays, but I think this answer was bit of a cop out. The honorable thing to do would've been to debate him, and I'm pretty sure Ron Paul would've wiped the floor with him.

Check out his CSPAN video part 1 of 4...he clearly states that he will debate anyone anytime on anything.

The only thing he's got on Paul is "You think drugs and prostitution and gay marriage and abortion should be decided on a state level!"
Then maybe the war as things seem to be calming down over there (maybe). Otherwise he just twisted his words or flat out shoved them into Paul's mouth. I found the 'you are against Nafta! You are against free trade!' part especially funny. Because we need an international code of laws written to have free trade...

I found it funny that when Ron Paul used the audience member's own words of "cheating the district", the audience member immediately denied using those words. Even the neoconservative fans are starting to become inconsistent with their own words, now.
I would have liked to see a debate between the two. From the looks of things, it wouldn't have harmed his Congressional race all that much.
