I haven't seen the film they're talking about, but it seems fair to say there are good and bad things about both France and the USA (or any other country, for that matter) and comedy or satire plays more on the negative points - that's what it's all about. If it is well done and not too cruel, I don't see why anyone should feel 'insulted'.

@paozleop actually France 24 has two channels. The main one is in french. They have a second channel called France 24 En which is in english.

I thought Julie Delpy was beautiful 15 years ago. I still do today. What a talent as well.

No, simply because the whole world thinks something does not make that correct. The highest virtue is dissent not conformity. In the 1936 olympics every country dipped its flag to adolf hitler except the united states. at one time a majority of the world thought the earth was flat. anyone can be follower. anyone can go along with everyone else. only the truly exceptional have the courage to disagree with the masses.

Not only french people hate the USA, I think all europeans hate the States. I have travelled a lot and the only country that like the USA is Israel. My wife is brazilian and that feeling is general in all Latin America. What happens is that you think it was for your money, but you are so broken now, more than Europe, and we still hating you. Don´t you think, when it happens in the whole world is because USA is doing something wrong?
