Watch the version with the lights on, there is a small piece of paper that flickers backward, this type of thrust is intended for space appilcations, and is comparible if not much more practical then ion thruster technology

Looks like a small jacobs ladder to me.
No proof for thrust
Put it on wheels and make it move ;-)

please explain what is happening in this video... it LOOKS like you have a positive and negative lead connected to some metallic rods that are making an electric arc.. but then all of a sudden a green laser flashes through some smoke or vapor.. what's the deal?

is that a green laser pointer your hitting it with?

Yes, the green laser is just a simpel way to prove that the water is changing state, and reimerging as steam at the end or the thruster, not just rising above

That heat may be way to much for my sheet aluminum to handle then. I need better materials. ive got 40 flyback transformers, so power isnt a problem. I used to salvage tvs from trashcans and steal the transformers

You need to consier new materials for your electrode, plasma is by definition HOT, and thus you need to consider matierials that can take the heat better. In this experiement I am using Tungsten TIG welding rods, lanthanide doped.

Jdrisch you make that yourself? how much voltage you need to make that work...?
Ive built jacobs ladders and ive even built my first plasmasonic speaker this year, and they all took at least 2kv each to make work.
My plasmasonic speaker ended up putting a hole in my dresser, so i dont have it anymore.
But im a diehard experimentor and ill try making this too! tell me how to make one?

The basic parts used were: 2x 60W Neon light power supplies, 8x 8-9kV 1A rectifier diodes (puck screw type, used these to construct 2 high voltage full bridge rectifier), 2x tungstun electrodes (used for arc welding), 2x 2"x2"x1/4" N48 NeFeB magnets, protected by 1x 2.5"x2.5" sheet of Teflon (high temperature, non cunductive barrier) the electrodes positioned like a jacobs ladder with a water feeding syphon (used rolled paper towel) may ionize water to improve performnce, warning create poison
