    they don't. that's why you boil crabs and lobsters while they're still alive and it's not considered inhumane because they don't feel pain.

    also, if the crab/lobster is dead they release some sort of poison that makes them inedible so that's especially why you have to boil them alive.

    most people don't know this so when they see videos of crabs being boiled they go all crazy animal rights and stuff
