Teachers modify it. Students modify it when they learn it. No one knows the original. But isn't that for the best since your changing something to suit your tastes? ( I mean as long as you don't like suck and completely butcher the form I think everything should be okay...maybe...kinda...yeah)

Supercucu: As to the original version of Gun-Li.... I have searched the web looking for versions that bear similarity to mine. Possibly mine is as close to the original as you may find. All the versions I've seen many moves left out, some down in the opposite direction, and a large percentage appear watered down and/or modified. I'm thinking these are all wushu variations. a number are quite good variations, but not a one comes close to the version I was taught.

that way you practice is ying jow pai? fomra is that this style. steps are different as I have them. vary some steps have made my way more steps than that. quan li gung shape of the orange band here in my country.

wow, i thought when i was learning 7 star mantis kungfu< i thought the the person who was teaching it to me was fake, but now i know that he wasnt.. And i wish he was alive today so i can say im sorry, and that to tell him that i still remember and practice the forms he thought me more in my mind than physically. i know this form like the back of my hand

actually he totally ruined the traditional form's essence and application. it's like he turned the form into a southern style. not good.
