  • Actually, Jesse was more than just a guide. He turned back time for Tad when Leslie was trying to kill him. Here's hoping Dixie lives again!

  • I didn't think I would cry during this, but the part of the episode really got me through the heart.

  • This has GOT to be one of the MOST touching things I've EVER seen for a SOAP, especially for the VETs on the screen to loose one of there own I know the lines were written but the emotion and delivery were REAL Rest In Peace James Mitchell, soaps will NEVER be the same without U!!!!!!

  • This episode still gets me....it shows how loved James Mitchell was to his cast mates. Thank you L.B. for writing such a lovely tribute, I would hate to think what it would have been like if David and Donne (who were head writers at the time) had written this episode. The music in the background is especially touching. R.I.P, James, you are missed!

  • So touching and very beautiful scenes. It's so nice to see the rich history here...thank you to Lorraine Broderick! And a big thanks for posting this. I hope AMC goes out in the same poignant style!

  • @mattfrye1 STRONG rumor has it that Cady McClain/"Dixie" is coming back to the show for the finale.

  • I'm glad they gave Mitchell this send off...he deserved it. Palmer was my favorite character in the eighties. Adam tended to chew the scenery, but Palmer was smooth.

  • i shed a single tear every time i watch this. heartbreaking, really.

  • @amcfan100 That was a perfect ending. I wish that some vids of the late Natalie, et al, in heaven would be put up. It was aired either the summer of '01 or '02 (July).

  • It got to me too. When Dixie came for Palmer I lost it.

  • @mattfrye1 Jesse died onscreen too... it can happen :D we can hope

  • My fave line from this part: by Adam Chandler: "From Pigeon Hallow to Pine Valley. Because of you, my happiest days are still ahead of me."

Although they were enemies you can see that Adam respected hik somewhat.

    RIP James Mitchel
