unfortunately some bad information is being passed on in terms of safety. yes the heavy metals are less dangerous the real danger is from the refractory materials especially things like fiber frax which are known carcinogens . i think last i spoke to henry halem he said he was going to include a chapter on it in the next edition of glass notes.
