On the early morning of Sunday September 11th, 2011, Tayshana Murphy was murdered in Harlem NYC. She was only 18 years old and she was entering her last year of high school. An aspiring WNBA basketball player, she was highly ranked as one of the top guards in the country, and had many top colleges interested in her playing basketball for their school. The video was taken during a memorial service in the Queensbridge Houses, were she lived for most of her young life.

Wow! This really saddens me! I didn't know "Chicken" but from the videos she seemed to be a much loved person. We as black people need to come together and stop hating and killing each other because there are so many others that do it enough for us! It needs to stop up north, down south, and on the east & west coasts! My heart goes out to her family & friends and I hope and pray we, as black people can get it together before it's too late! Let's stop the hurt & pain in our black communities!

The bible says vengence is mine i will repay. I didnt know chicken but from the video i just watched of her playing ball, she was an excellent ball player. I want to keep her family in prayer and when you feel sad just pray. If you don't know who the Lord Jesus and want to just ask him to forgive you of your sins and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Its important that you get saved because tomorrow isn't promised. Chicken is gone and she isnt coming back. gET YOUR SOUL RIGHT

@LaMelasa13 whatever you are editing your video with, save half of the video as part one, then save the other half as part two. You have to do that with your video editing software on your computer.

Those kids dont know what they did when they took her life..they destroyed a community!!...to the person who uploaded this video i have a 30minute video from Chicken's Vigil/Fundraiser at Brown Sugar in Brooklyn..I want to share it but youtube wont let me upload a video thats more than 15 minutes..how were u able to upload a 20 minute video?? i know a lot of people would appreciate the video I have to share

@LaMelasa13 20 mins was the time limit that youtube gave me. I didnt do anything different than what I normally do when uploading a video. Just cut your video into a part 1 and part 2 and put it up like that.
