I'm studying medicine now in my high school (biomedical ethics), and Female Circumcision/mutilation is proven to have no real medical benefits for the patients. Actually, there are ZERO medical benefits for Female Circumcision/mutilation. Except that it will keep girls chaste..which is more for the peace of mind than of medical benefit.-__-
