@giftoffire Not true. He learned as a boy. Read his own words before spreading rumors. He never claimed to be a milonguero, but a tanguero. You don't know the difference. Do some research and educate yourself. And then go take lessons and learn to dance and show respect where it is due.

@giftoffire who cares about the fact that he started dancing tango when he was in his 40s? According to me, this video (and many others) demonstrate how one can dance with his heart and not with his legs :)

I'm 35 and I'd give everything away to start dancing tango like Gavito in 5 years...

G indeed was a most talented dancer. You have the due right to ignore things but once acknowledged, you must have the courage to endorse whatever makes you a better artist, a fully pledged dancer. G flavored his own course with a versatile palette of stage experiences and created a deserved reputation even in his own tango barra in Buenos Aires. Let's be honest to thank him for his unique contribution.
