  • Yes, you take the concertmaster's violin. Probably because it's the closest and one of the best violins in the orchestra. You should never stop in a performance.

  • Nice job, but why did you stop? You should've taken the concertmaster's violin.

  • For soloist interpretations, it's not nice to take another one's instrument. You're used to your own instrument and play a solo stuff with other violin is just so difficult. Your professionalism shall never be the same with other instrument.

But, even in case of, you SHOULDN'T take the concertino's violin because he has to lead the section... you shoud take the concertino's assistant violin.

  • Mas pq paraste??

  • Opppaaaa

  • director´s fault. The director stop performance

  • Actually I don't I agree with that. It's a tradition and a part of professionalism that no matter what you continue on playing regardless of what happens. I mean, not Paganini level of playing around with shifts but regardless if the violin is a different size you should still take it and finish the concert correctly, never stop for anything. Look at Midori Goto. I would guess that this kid just wasn't that talented, either that, this isn't the whole thing. Maybe he did.

  • maybe the reason one wouldnt want the concertmaster's violin is because odds are its gonna be a different size and i wouldnt wanna perform a concert and change violins halfway through to one that id never played. looks like he chose ending in the middle but sounding well rather than trying to finish but at a lower level because he was out of tune becasue his shifts weren't quite right due to a different sized violin.

  • when let's say your playing in concert and somthing happends while you are playing do u take the concertmaster's violin ????

    and why????
