This is the first prototype of special design from Aerofortis: 5 Blade propeller on Electric motor.... Better Efficiency (25% less power than 2 blades) and Quietness in bonus. It is difficult to "show" you the noise level, but this is brilliant... Look at other videos to give you an idea... Especially, go to see the 4 blades test at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrXe4LVO9LQ ... This 5 blade prop is much quieter than the 4 scimitar...
Keep Good work Aerofortis and just come back with even better design.... Keep Smiling!

  • Yes correct, because the blades are turning much slower, the tip run slower the efficiency is high (about 25% better).... However, having the motor turning low is a problem...

  • i was wonderign whether it would be possible to desing some kind of propulsion device that could run from an electrical outlet via an extension lead in the garden for example. a high powered blower fan maybe powerful enough to lift somebody off the ground. Basically will a home electrical outlet provide enough power to power propellor of somekind that i could use in my back garden connected to a long extension power cord for fun.

  • Wow,it sounds like your 5 blade design elimates a lot of the high-pitched squeal the other e-ppgs produce.

Excellent. Is it because each blade tip maxes out at a lower speed? how does it affect range and thrust?
