Congresswoman Barbara Lee, thank you for raising your voice in support of ending the war in Iraq! You have shown extraordinary courage in advocating that no funding be provided for permanent military bases in Iraq. You have repeatedly made the point that military action does not protect Americans from acts of terrorism; in fact, our war in Iraq makes the world a less safe place.

This country needs more Rep. Barbara Lees. We need people of sound minds with the conviction of those like Rep. Lee who are not swept up by bellicose rhetoric, or misguided patriotism.
