Presumably because there are a lot of people waiting and she wants to prioritise those who've bought programmes for the production rather han use up all her time signing X Files stuff for people who possibly intend to flog it all on eBay and possibly haven't even seen the play.

@frankielarry but Scully is the shit! Darn, I really wish I had been on the X-Files craze back in the 90s. Alas, I just started watching X-Files last May, for the very first time mind you.

Why is it such a big deal to get someone's autograph? I never saw anything amazing about it. I gave away plenty of my celebrity autographs to friends as gifts including four presidents and a secretary of state's autographs. It's not a big deal people. Appreciate their work and not on a few strokes of the pen.

Gillian Anderson is one of my favorite actresses.She is cute, hot, talented, smart, funny and soooooooooo underrated. Her The X Files is the best SCI-FI show ever. I loved her in Playing by Heart, The Turning, The House of Mirth, The Last King of Scotland, How to Lose Friends & Alienate People, Straightheads also.

@AnotherCompartment She's done many more roles, been in three different theatre shows, enough with TXF! She deserves some respect for her work, which is NOT TXF anymore, not since 2002.

I'm sure if she were at an X-files event, she'd sign x-files related merch but this wasn't an x-files event, this was at the theater of her play.

I find her so lovely !!! U're so lucky to have the opportunity to meet her...

I understand if she doesn't wanna sign XF photo.... because, even if she's very good playing Scully... she won't be Dana Scully forever...

And for personnaly information... I've asked to a signed photo of her and not Dana Scully...

Of course, I'm a big XPhile, but I really appreciate Gillian not for being Dana, but for BEING HERSELF !!!
