Anzu | Reins of the Raven Lord :: BM Hunter Resto Druid - Mount drop! HD

READ NOTES BEFORE COMMENTING:

Anzu the Raven God is a boss from the heroic mode of Sethekk Halls, a level 70 instance in the Burning Crusade of World of Warcraft. The boss can only be summoned by a druid who has bought the epic flying skill and has arrived at the last quest in the epic flight form chain, "Vanquish the Raven God." A geared level 80 Feral Druid CAN solo the boss, here I go Beast Mastery and my resto druid friend heals my pet and I do low dps with the Viper aspect to save my mana for the add/bird phase. The boss has a 1% chance per kill to drop "Reins of the Raven Lord" - a rare mount. Farmed for only 16 days, I realize how lucky I am and wish all the others out there who wants this the best of luck and don't give up because it's worth it!

I looted the mount the day before the 3.1 Ulduar patch/raid came out, so yes, the mount is still in the game and will remain so. Just forgotten as most people either lack the in game resources such as gold and friends to get this on farm status (I helped buy two druids their epic flight, 5k there) or lack the dedication to run this daily. As a hunter the instance must be cleared and takes at least 20 minutes even as a geared 80, but as a druid/rogue combo you only have to clear the last room and summon the boss. Happy farming!

NOTES: "Micklovin" the Druid was an alt that Ryzak, a guildie and I leveled up from time to time as "my" secondary druid. I payed for it's epic flight, did the flight form quest, and even the rep grind to get into heroic Sethekk. Ryzak didn't care for the mount, and it wasn't even him playing on this kill- but my real life friend, Panther! Key word: FARM status, meaning that the first drop goes to me, as I was master looter every run. That means you have to have a combination of some gold and or great friends, some druid alts/mains, plus a bit of time everyday to clear/do Sethekk, and a LOT of luck. I got the mount one day before Ulduar came out- to put it in perspective of time.

The mount still drops. Do what I did to farm it if you have the interest. I'm proof you CAN get it. You just have to "set" things up right- get a combo of people who don't really care too badly for the mount, and will let you have it. It's there, just forgotten.

NOTE: It's an edited video. The scene where I mount up outside Sethekk is actually hours AFTER I got the mount, as I went back planning for the video.

ADDONS, since people keep asking:

I use Xperl for unit frames, Recount as a damage meter, Quartz to replace the standard cast bar, Elkano's Buff Bars to show buffs/stings/debuffs on target, Omen as my threat/aggro meter, Grid as a raid/selectable layout, GhostPulse to see available abilities, deadly boss mods which is obviously needed for raiding, Cartographer as my secondary map, Carbonite quest to assist in questing, and AtlasLoot to browse boss drops and loot tables. Those are all pretty good addons and I use a few others that I can't remember at the moment.

@xzibit123a First off, this video is extremely old and these days anyone can do it without a druid present so ignore the first half. BUT, the more kills you get on him DOES NOT increase your personal chance of getting the mount. Theoretically if you do it 100 times, you should see it at least once. People have had all kinds of luck (or not) getting this. Some have gotten it on their first try, 10th, 40th (quite common), and the rare unlucky few have tried 200 times and haven't seen it once.

@uniqesanta That really sucks and the only thing I can say is don't stop going at it. I set this up (with my friend's alt) so where I COULD endure dozens to hundreds of runs if needed and was definitely prepared to go that far to get it. Keep trying- it can drop any day I kept telling myself and you can only imagine my excitement at that moment when I got really really lucky.

Note : As of patch 4.0.1 , you dont need a druid to summon him, hes just standing there wating to be attacked

It can be killed just one time PER DAY? damn it! this makes the hole mount a lot more difficult to get it! xD

I cant que sethekk halls on heroic because it says that I haven´t done the quests yet.. but where do i find these quests? pls help :P
