A ski cut on a windloaded rollover triggered this avalanche below the top of Butterfield into Buccal Creek. It released on a E aspect at 9000', and the slope angle near the top was approximately 37 degrees. It was about 200 feet wide and the crown depth was 10-16". The fracture layer was facets atop a crust that was buried Friday, February 13th, and had been recently loaded over the past two days.
