FFX - Maxing Stats Guide - Getting Spheres (Part 1/3)

Before you start maxing all your stats you need to collect alot of spheres, you'll need to capture 10 of each Fiend before you can get started.

Once your done capturing just kill the Arena creations of the stat you want to start maxing first.

Juggernaut is for Strength
Tanket is for Defense
Jumbo Flan is for Magic
One-Eye is for Magic Defense
Fenrir is for Agility
Greater Sphere is for Luck
Earth Eater is for Fortune Spheres
Hornet is for Accuracy
Pteryx is for Evasion
Ironclad is for HP
Vidatu is for MP

How to unlock:

Fenrir:
Conditions: Capture at least 3 of each monster from the wolf species. These are: Dingo (Besaid Island), Mi'ihen Fang (Mi'ihen Highroad), Garm (Moonflow), Snow Wolf (Macalania Snowfield), Sand Wolf (Sanubia Desert), Skoll (Calm Lands), and Bandersnatch (Mt. Gagazet).

Pteryx:
Conditions: Capture at least 4 of each monster from the bird species. These are: Condor (Besaid Island), Simurgh (Djose Highroad), and Alcyone (Sanubia Desert).

Hornet:
Conditions: Capture at least 4 of each monster from the insect species. These are: Killer Bee (Kilika Forest), Bite Bug (Moonflow), Wasp (Macalania Forest), and Nebiros (Calm Lands).

Vidatu:
Conditions: Capture at least 4 of each monster from the floating wizard species. These are: Gandarewa (Mushroom Rock Road), Aerouge (Thunder Plains), and Imp (Mt. Gagazet or Cavern of the Stolen Fayth).

One-Eye:
Conditions: Capture at least 4 of each monster from the eyeball species. These are: Floating Eye (Mi'ihen Highroad), Buer (Thunder Plains), Evil Eye (Macalania Snowfield), Ahriman (Mt. Gagazet or Inside Sin), and Floating Death (Omega Ruins).

Jumbo Flan:
Conditions: Capture at least 3 of each monster from the flan species. These are: Water Flan (Besaid Island), Thunder Flan (Mi'ihen Highroad), Snow Flan (Moonflow), Ice Flan (Macalania Lake or Snowfield), Flame Flan (Calm Lands), and Dark Flan (Gagazet Cavern or Zanarkand Ruins).

Tanket:
Conditions: Capture at least 3 of each monster from the armored mole species. These are: Raldo (Mi'ihen Highroad), Bunyip (Djose Highroad or Moonflow), Murussu (Macalania Forest), Mafdet (Macalania Snowfield), Shred (Calm Lands), and Halma (Omega Ruins).

Juggernaut:
Conditions: Capture at least 5 of each monster from the horned species. These are: Dual Horn (Mi'ihen Highroad), Valaha (Cavern of the Stolen Fayth), and Grendel (Gagazet Cavern or Zanarkand Ruins).

Ironclad:
Conditions: Capture 10 of each from the iron giant species. These are: Iron Giant (north part of Thunder Plains), Gemini A (Inside Sin or Omega Ruins, armed with a sword), and Gemini B (Inside Sin or Omega Ruins, armed with a club). Each Gemini counts as a seperate monster!

Earth Eater:
Conditions: Capture the nescessary number of monsters to conquer 2 areas.

Greater Sphere:
Conditions: Capture the nescessary number of monsters to conquer 2 species.

Is there a quicker way to get Lv. 3 Key Spheres? I'm having difficulties farming for them.

@Saihei bribing Demonolith from inside sin for 900,000 gill nets you 40 lvl 3 key spheres. Stealing from Ultima Buster (boss after you capture 5 of every feind) those are the fastest, but getting 900k gill takes a long time so stealing from ultima buster is probably the b est method

@luiso12321 can start as soon as you get the airship if you want, as long as you can kill the Juggernaut in a reasonable time

@badalex17594 thnk u a lot thnx i knew about how to get gils but did not now u have to bribe mech leaders and thnx for telling me too capture fiends plus i killed ifrit valefor and anima ( dark aeons) by zanmato hehehe for some reason i keep paying him so much to do zanmato with full overdrive on other dark aeons he soesn't so thnnk u ur the best

@3runningpro123 by creating some fiend you get 99 Doors to Tomorrow. you need 10 to give a weapon the OD -> AP ability. another way to get them is to bribe mech leaders in gagazet for 74 000 gil. if you need gil, go to the omega ruins and kill mimics. bribing mech leaders takes too long though, you better capture fiends until you get the 99. and i wouldn't spend the 99 in anything that isn't a clean 4 slots weapon. you can buy these from wantz in macalania woods.
