So, this is what it's like to visit the Eckert James River Bat Cave in Mason, Texas. And, yes, you have to drive through the river to get there. -- Merry Christmas, Grammy and Grandpa!!! This is your "no thing" present.

  • Very cool. I didn't think one would see so many bats in the daytime.

  • @flowerchild1951 - The bats began streaming out of the cave as the sun began to set, but it takes hours for them all to leave. It was quite dark by the time they had all flown out to find something yummy to eat, like their favorite insects! A few of the bats get eaten each night too, as the bats are not the only predators out searching for a good meal each evening.
