It is not racist to love your country - but you can not be that open about it much like Germans can not be that open about loving their country. You have a terrible history of racism and brutal colonization. You should not be proud of that. If you are proud of your country's past racism and colonization - that speaks for itself and that is why people might view you as a racist and an overall bad human being.

i didnt say i was proud of my countries past, i said i love my country. Even though in the 1800's england was ruled by an oppressive regime come the 1900's we led the world in defeating the facist nazis at a cost of millions of british young men. I am proud of them, im proud of the better part of our history and the fact that we, the british used to be innovative and industrial. we gave the world the telephone, the television, the jet engine. im proud to be british and what.
