@AUS10TAT10US ...I also count many more Gs on the road than Ms.. That counts for something too.. many more people who don't care much about performance drive G's than M's.

@AUS10TAT10US I imagine that most E46 M3 drivers, probably many E92 M3 drivers, and 3 series drivers in general would take the E46 M3 over a newer G37.

M3 is such a better line than G37 that even across generations going backward it has a better/more performance oriented feature set; and both cars improve a bunch across generations going forward.

Lol who would want to own an old m3 over a newer g37? And why compare stock vs modded? I guarantee I will beat an equally modded e46 m3. I have dual intakes, hfc, and exhaust. What people don't realize is that with mods, a G37 is much quicker. The VHR and HR engines respond well to mods

@blineguy Do you really love it? I love Nissan/Infiniti and the G37S. I've heard it wasn't terribly efficient (21mpg combined) but it's definitely better than the M3. I love the straight six sound of the M3, but the G37's burbling V6 is really nice too. Plus the M3 being a German car might have high maintenance. I suppose when they're revving up the straight 6 and the V6 don't sound all that different.

I've owned a G37S for 3 years now and I couldn't be happier. Great looks, nice exhaust note and going to work every morning in it is awesome. A nice sophisticated Japanese import for everyday driving...and with gas prices this high, I'm glad it's pretty efficient.
