Hurricane Charley, 13 August 2004

Hurricane Charley passing over Florida on 13 August 2004. I was going to school in Orlando at the time, we had an apartment just north of Kissimmee on Route 17-92. The eye of the storm passed directly over us at about 9:05pm on the 13th. We were spared major damage, but were surrounded by total devastation. We were lucky to be sheltered by a big stand of native trees that prevented major damage - buildings across the street from us were destroyed.
