For those of you that haven't heard, Techno: The Gamma Project is a freeware platform shooter I started working on over a year ago. Demo 1 was released in July 2009, and now, 9 months later, Demo 2 is finished. Here's a full list of stuff that's changed since Demo 1:

New Stuff:
--Two new levels.
--Two new bosses.
--Six new story cutscenes.
--The Save/Load system has been made backwards-compatible with savefiles from Demo 1, so you can pick up playing where you left off.

Minor Updates:
--The Shock Blast, Green Shockwave, and W-Orb sprites have been enhanced.
--The Life Counter has been moved to the upper left of the screen, directly under the Health and Ultra Energy bars.
--The sprites for the trees in Nesteke Forest have been improved.

Removals:
--The Effects Options have been removed, since nobody used them.

  • Wow cool but is all the levels are under water? Cause I hate the water levels in Sonic games.

  • @MultiSuperChaos There is only one Water stage per storyline. Techno Beta has a full underwater level, whereas Techno Alpha simply skims across the surface of the lake in an on-rails shooter level.

  • Is there going to be another one of these levels with Alpha in his vehicle mode?

  • @MultiSuperChaos Also it controls just like a normal level. No slow down.

  • What screen recorder did you use? I can't record 8-Bit Agent (or anything, for that matter, but 8-Bit Agent is what I need to record) at a decent framerate. I had to make a special build of 8-Bit Agent that takes a screenshot every frame, then use an ImageToVideo program to make a video out of that. The only problem is that the sounds don't record, and it's a pain to sync them in editing.

  • @Hypersonic1445 Seconded.

  • @TechnoSuperguy Learned by me the hard way. I can't seem to beat him, but I beat Blunder and Rino just fine. Darn encrypted INI file that forces me to actually beat the game!

  • @TechnoSuperguy I left cutscenes out of 8-Bit Agent for this reason. But, if anyone asks, I was "putting more focus on the gameplay." It does have bosses, but they're not very good. You seem to have put more effort into yours. Kudos. However, I CAN'T BEAT SAWFISH!

  • I actually liked the idea to be more orignal, and yes it's kinda orginal now but..i think the point of the game just ruined..

  • @TechnoSuperguy: True, very true.
