i used an XL2, but don't let this footage fool you, you can do much better than what i did back then. That was my first film with it and i didn't know how to use it properly.

Cool! I just bought my first camera - a Canon HV20. It looks like any other crappy consumer grade video camera, but by God, it's HD! =D I haven't made anything with it so far for I have yet to master Avid. I thought your footage looked pretty good actually. Someday I will own an XL2...if I can ever afford it. Lol.

that's cool man! And hey, HD is HD, that's already better than my XL2, plus you bought a Canon, so you're pretty much guaranteed a good clean picture (at least when the shot is well lit). Go have fun and make tons of movies!
