  • is this car running on slicks or street legal tyres? seams the term street legal is being very loosely applied

  • @angliaevolution: In this video it is street legal tires. Both 9.03 and 9,01 is on street legal tires. The 8.606 and the other 8.6x and 8,7x runs is set on pure racing slicks.

  • What kind of motor is that? Mazda Rotary? It's not an air cooled VW.

  • @nine76chris: No no, not mazda rotary, It is a 4cyl VW boxer engine. But 2,1L WBX engine from VW T3 bus. (Now "bored" and stroked to 2,8L)

  • Veja o vídeo /watch?v=SDzJDI_DhgU 8.977 em 1/4 de milha.

    Abraço!

  • @SanGermanMaquinas /watch?v=0AmDoqaNic0 Same car as above doing 8.606 @ 269 km/h at 1/4 mile.

Just out of curiosity: Who is faster? This beetle has now done 8.60 at 1/4mile. Still street legal with syncronized manual gearbox and standard floor pan chassis. I know there is some faster tubular chassi 600kg ProMod beetles but are there anyone which is faster with a street legal pan chassis??

  • People dont understand the differance between this and the red baron and it sucks because what this car is doing is way more impressive. Anyone who has built a dragster knows what I mean. The Red Baron is still a great car though.
