these new software programs allows talentless people to sound like superb musicians. it's like allowing steroid use in the major league baseball. evryone would hit 70 home runs in a season and appear to be a great player, regardless of their athletic ability. it's the same concept here.
guys like pete rock, dj premier, diamond, etc are the real talents of hip hop production. they had to get the most out of their equipment buy being clever and creative.
