Love your creativity in making this instrument. I think theeverlastingdark is not familiar enough with Messiaen to differentiate between the dissonances written in to the music and problems with pitch control (which I'm guessing is what he/she meant by tone control).
It sounds like the pitch is a little off in some places, though; I guess that's hard work on an instrument like this. I believe the theremin (which I agree this sounds like) is also a bugger to play. Nice vibrato, though.

this udderbot sounds kinda like a theremin, i think.

Tone control is terrible. Very few notes sound pleasant. I don't know if it's an inherent nature of the udderbot itself, but honestly, unless it's just for novelty learn another instrument.

Thanks for listening and commenting. Which notes sound the most pleasant? What do you mean by tone control? That the tone is inconsistent? It does take some getting used to because it's simply not a flute. A less airy tone is possible using a bottle with a thick lip (not a screw-cap like this one). I'm out to disprove that it's only good for novelty effect, but a long way to go.
