Old grain mill fire, Cumberland, RI 1987 clip 1 of 2

Video is from 1987 (if I remember right) -- or early 1988. Fire at old grain mill off of Nate Whipple Highway in Cumberland, Rhode Island. Clip is 1 of 2. Sorry for the theme music from "Back to the Future" on these clips -- I put that on the video at the time. If you now find it as annoying as I do, turn your volume down :)Music goes away during the 2nd clip posted. I was the only one there with a video camera because the fire happened during a bad snow storm. Parts of my video of this fire made it on our local news that night.

Hi, You might be getting this fire in Cumberland from 1987 (of an old grain mill) confused with the recent house fire/tragedy from this week ... definitely a different fire, but location-wise same street, and only about a half-mile apart.

Where exactly on Nate Whipple was this?

If you know where Pentimento's antique shop is now (near the waterfall), this grain mill was located right across the street from that building, right off of Nate Whipple. The general area is between the Arnolds Mills Methodist Church and before you get to North Attleboro Road as you drive down Nate Whipple.

I think my father used to go there to have windows, and screens repaired, maybe small engines too.
