Malaysian student Mohammed Ashraf Haziq, 20, was robbed in broad daylight during riots in Barking by a gang who pretended to help him to his feet. Instead, they stole a mobile phone and wallet from Mr Haziq's rucksack as he stood heavily bleeding, in scenes which symbolised the thuggery of the London riots.
