@atheistram You're drunk right now. You're always drunk. If you were ever sober, you'd think you were somebody else.
-
@TimescapeFantasy I don't drink. Maybe you do, but I don't.
-
@atheistram Ah, drunk again, I see.
-
@TimescapeFantasy It's basic trigonometry. Basic trigonometry is NOT open to debate. :P
-
@shanedk You look like a badass whenever you say "this is not open for debate."

Young Earth Creationists may very well be clowns. However the 'intellectual giants' that spend their time 'debunking' them are just as funny.

Let me expound: If you admit that an assumption can validate your counterpoint, than you are admitting that your point is dependant upon it not being that way. So the point you end up making is that the real truth could lie anywhere between your point and the counterpoint. Your own observations make that case. From outside your box of rationale, one could observe that the invalidation of your point opens up the possibility for the real truth to lie even outside your given parameters.

@TimescapeFantasy The only "assumption" in this video is that basic trigonometry is correct.

@shanedk That, and every other thing. Even the findings of the telescopes have assumptions attached.

@TimescapeFantasy Like what? The supernova actually happened?

@shanedk There's an old theory that time doesn't exist outside our Solar system. Theory may be outdated, however, it has not been disproven. And it will remain undisproven until one of us actually physically goes outside the Solar system to see. Add that variable to this scenario, and the whole thing turns to shit. And that's just one of an infinite number of possible imposing variables. Who, on either side of this issue, has the balls to say "I don't fucking know!"?

@TimescapeFantasy "There's an old theory that time doesn't exist outside our Solar system. "
No, there isn't.
