  • Was asking as i have a pg wing im going to cut down to 14 msq using a line plan from a gin nano 14,,think ill remove the center section and rejoin the two halves and then shorten the lines to near the nano plan,,fingers crossed,,,this should be an easy conversion as the wing ends and breakes are done,,,should get something between a pg and a speed wing ,, what did you use to sew the sections together ? as in what tipe of thread ?

  • @FILMITS, my english is too bad for reasonable answer. Look to threads in pg wing. They are same in speed wings. Thread should break no less than 2..3 kg. While sewing use step 4-5 mm. And be sure to use reinforcement for attaching lines.

  • Thats a very nice job you have done there dude ;) ,,do you have any picrures of the wing during construction ? would love to see the process.

  • No, sorry ). I really do not make pictures or video of process.

  • Very nice home made wing, well done. How high is that hill? What glide ration you have with your wing in nil winds?

  • Glide Ratio 5-6.5 in free flight and 4.5-5 with paramotor. Some weeks ago I have flight with engine with static thrust 35 kg (no video yet).

  • @FILMITS ok tnx

  • @md38my First thing i notice is that i would add stiff milars to the pg cell fronts and also one foot into each cell i would cut a hole in the cell wall for air to flow through every cell ,cross porting ? if a couple of cells colaps the ports either side will feed air pressure to the those two cells and keep the wing stable,,its well doable but i will get a feel for speedwings before i try a conversion, this way i will know how its suposed to feel in the air and know if its good or not.

  • @md38my Hi mate,,The short answere is no lol,,,the long answere is ,i have never owned a speed wing so i have just got myself a second hand gin nano 14m2 to learn on and also look at the construction ,angle of atack and compare the line plan with the wing in my hands,,,when i go down a size wing to 11 or 12m2 i will then sell my 14 and have a go at converting a pg wing to a 14 m2,,,its the conversion im interested in and seeing how close i can get the pg wing to a speedwing.

  • @FILMITS hey did you make it??
