Thanks Dr. Dixon!
I am a Training & Safety Supervisor for Americold - VersaCold, the worlds largest Frozen Storage Business. I like your many videos. They are informative, entertaining and sometimes make me laugh. Thank you for your many insights like take a hold of the future or the future will take a hold of you.
My business success quote for today is: If you don't learn from the mistakes of the past, you will repeat them.

I am preparing a report for my collegues abt the common mistakes during a presentation and how to avoid them. Your videos are very inspirational. Thank you!

Common mistake. Use computer as monitor in front of you. Hardly ever turn back on audience unless to point with laser or stick to where you want them to look, and keep it all moving with radio mouse so no touching computer.

I should have done so. People liked the presentation, but said that I looked too much at the powerpoint slides
Patrick, I'm so glad I found your videos. Here's my question, I have to speak on a very somber topic, self-injury, how do I speak energetically on this topic while still being appropriate? Thanks.

@amylchapman Lecture on somber topic? EASY: PASSSION is key. Speak from the heart about self-injury to your audience. Use real stories, and remember, this is a matter of life or death so make every second count.
