I have never shown a video of my engine. Good reason for that: it's dirty! Going to get a new powder coated valve cover and new fire braid wires for the plugs and start cleaning this sucker up! anyway, here's the proof!

  • ANY motor can be turbo charged… The real question is, how much boost can that specific motor handle and for how long in its STOCK form...

  • @01Commenter10 i was running stock boost from the turbo (7psi). it handled it for over a year before the head gasket gave out. the engine is getting a full rebuild right now.

  • thats a waste gate not a blow off valve.

  • @kalijasin no, it's a blow off valve. i put it on there so you would think i know what it is. the bov is the stock bov for the porsche 944 and is pretty loud. the waste gate is internal and the only thing you can see of it on the outside is the actuator arm.

  • How did you handle the electronics side of this with the computer and all? Isuzu ECU plugged right in? Also, did you upgrade the fuel system with higher capacity injectors and higher pressure fuel pump?

Ignore all of the hateful posts. I like the custom job and idea here cause it is a good setup. BUT...you might want to move the intercooler in front of the radiator so it draws heat out of the charged air better. On top of the engine the heat really can not escape as well.

  • @texan176 the storm was an isuzu so it already had the isuzu ecu. the stock sohc storm ecu can handle stock i-mark boost and a little more. nothing in the fuel system was upgraded except for using an fmu, but with the rebuild i'm doing now, i'm going to use bigger injectors. after i get the engine back together, i plan to do a front mount ic.

i do ignore the haters because when people actually see it in person they are impressed.

  • @sengthor84 its funny when people comment before doing research. the engine the turbo came from was 120 stock at 7psi. that car was a 1.5 in 1988. isuzu made improvements to their sohc engine before 1993 and my engine was rated more than 20hp higher than the n/a 1.5. i've driven the 140hp 1.8 storm and my car feels quicker. definitely pulls harder. 15hp from 7psi would be way too low.

  • @jforce06 i know. i was going to clean the engine when i put the turbo on. the engine will be out of the car in a couple weeks and the engine and engine bay should be cleaned then.

  • @dsruddell they're all there. the one you're saying is missing is black and is hard to see.

  • "turbo'd storm" instead of "turbocharged storm" or at least say boosted

  • thats so beast...
